Fire molds glass, just as Sunil Madhugiri, CTO of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Information and Technology, is molding the adaptation of innovation at CBP. Madhugiri is identifying and creating novel technology products designed and developed iteratively using highly adaptable agile methodologies and open standards to strengthen CBP operations. He also chairs the Technical Review Board, a governance body that focuses on improving the quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and resiliency of CBP’s IT solutions.
Prior to his work with U.S Customs and Border Protection, Madhugiri worked for the private sector for 30 years, where he established viable technology solutions for the federal government and worked as a database architect developing digital standards using APIs and assisting with digital transitions for the federal government.
Madhugiri is committed to public service and strives to provide technical value in support of OIT’s executive leadership team, the entire OIT organization, and CBP as a whole. And he hasn’t broken any glass yet.
